...I was feeling the need for their company.
I couldn’t decide what crystal to bring along and realised I was being shown a large piece of raw Amethyst which filled my hand.
As I was looking round the group Alain seemed to stand out, he looked like an advert for detergent, his shirt was so...
I have this rock I found at a mine I went to in South Carolina months ago. We really wanted to find amethyst at this mine but we only found some small pieces of various types of quartz. Then I found this brown rock. When I was at the mine something told me to keep it. It was unattractive...
So what's citrine?
I'm talking about natural citrine. The 'burnt orangey yellow' of heated amethyst is pretty characteristic after seeing a few.
Like this:
...this summer (2019) and learned a lot about quartz. Quartz comes in many colors. Quartz that is white is milky quartz, quartz that is smoky is smoky quartz, quartz that is yellow is skeletal quartz, and purple quartz is called amethyst. I think you have quartz, with a bit of yellow quartz in it.
...(i am on vacation right now). My sensitivity has increased this week. I went into a woo woo shop and passed my hands over some amazonite and amethyst and BAM, immediately felt a hum coming off the stones.
Then we went to a vegan store called The Jungle, which called to me, and as soon as i...
...My wife recently got me about 6 lbs or mixed unpolished minerals, a selenite tower, Himalayan pink salt light, and most recently a ring of amethyst crystals with space for a votive candle in the middle of it. I looked up amethyst and it helps with healing and moderating emotions, i.e...
Agree with the orange as heated amethyst given the color.
The other almost looks like the color pink tourmaline would can be though it would be a really big piece!
And I haven't seen it embedded in clear stone either, so I really don't think so. It is a very particular, and very pretty shade.
Anaeika, I have some rough rock amethyst from Brazil that has the same appearance as your possible rose quartz. Although the color is right for amethyst, the appearance of the stone is different. Since I was able to speak with the importer, I am confident of the identification. Perhaps your...
Doesn't look like quartz but not sure what it does look like. Agree that's not real citrine, looks heat treated, but so pretty. Do you pick up anything different on that from purple amethyst?
what would you say the pink stone is? I am used to seeing rose quartz lighter pink in color. Can the intensity vary?
I suspect the orange stone is heat treated amethyst.
Agree with:

And we have some of my favourite rocks joining us: kunzite, amethyst, astrophyllite, 5D crystal, quartz and granite plus whatever else we walk on, wear in our jewelry and have surrounding us (that's plenty in our...
Nice synchronicity with the topic of the week since today I decided to reunite with my crystals a bit more again. I took out the Amethyst (nice pic above!) and also the Astrophyllite which is an amazing crystal for me with ET origin (just like Moldavite). I'll bring the Astro with me. So be...
That's odd I see this today, and it's 10:01! In a few weeks I will be going to a mine which has many amethysts, and LOTS more quartz. It's certainly possible I could come home with 10-20 lbs of quartz. You dig it, you keep it. Can someone explain how amethyst is healing and how to use it? My...
