I don't normally talk about church here. I go to a spiritualist church, but it's not like any church I've been to. There is no shaming, no persecution, no yelling about going to hell, no guilt, no cult-like behavior limiting what you can read or believe in. It's all about love and acceptance. They actually walk the walk. We are all about crystals, there are crystals around each window. We are all about energy healing, chakras, that sort of stuff. And they have a great sense of humor too!
I know many people have had a bad experience with churches, I have too. I go because it is actually a positive, not negative, experience. But I realize everyone has their own needs too, and that's ok.
I'm doing my first sermon Sunday. We all do sermons, we all take turns, we are all part of the community and add our own talents to help each other. Everyone takes part, there are no arbitrary limits on what men or women can do.
