Fortune tellers will flood the news with their views, which in a sense I am one too, and all opinions will be different as there are many different systems and I tried to keep mine simple.
I noted someone made a comment that some writers work would bear as much weight and reliability as the mottos in fortune cookies.
Although those too can be remarkable accurate!
We enter the year of the Wood Snake which will begin on the 29th of January. The lunar New Year always begins on the day of the New Moon in Aquarius each year but preparations begin well before such as the cleaning out all the cupboards and drawers.
Taking unwanted clothing to the op shop.
Scrapping old or unused pantry and kitchen items.
Disposing of expired food, medicine and makeup.
Mowing the lawn and weed the garden.
There are other specific matters to take care of too which can be found if you are interested.
The modern people of the world even in China may believe that predicting the future by astrological means is unscientific but in fact astrology in any form is the first science from ancient times for health, life and death, and later politics too as politics were not around so much in old times- it was more tribal and shamanic but there were always leaders, healers, teachers and common people.
The ccp has not succeeded in wiping out popular belief systems as they are so deeply embedded into the collective mind.
The Chinese zodiac is a 12-year cycle based on the lunar calendar with each year being associated with an animal: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.
This cycle is further differentiated by reference to five fixed elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water. When combined with 12 earthly and 10 heavenly branches the system forms a 60-year cycle that is used for timekeeping purposes. The animal links feature prominently. They reflect distinct personality traits that influence the careers, marriages and compatibilities of the people born in each zodiac year.
For a few years I studied and practiced the MENG system , “four pillars of wisdom” and came to a point of having to choose between Western and Eastern, so accurate did I find the system, astounding in fact and it was a friend/teacher of Feng Shui who solved for me a long term conflict of countries, both I loved but one I did not function well in at all and the other was my spirit home suiting me on all levels. In my case it was about the fire element which is that of my Moon sign and I found the Moon sign is closely linked to our day sign in "Meng".
So whatever your Moon sign element, go with that for your best comforts and luck and Feng Shui colours if all else fails.
I do believe I am dominant Fire in Meng as I am also a Fire Dog. I also have a lot of metal which relates in my case to the planet Uranus in the western system. We are talking Monkey energy with that.
But there are parallels between the systems is my point.
But back to our WOOD SNAKE, what to expect in the year ahead.
In Chinese culture, the snake is seen as an animal that can do much good as well as harm, while in the Biblical Old Testament sense it is regarded as the embodiment of evil and the cause of sin in the world. (However I regard that as a different creature again but definitely Reptilian.)
Chinese myth ascribes the creation of humanity to the mother goddess Nuka, a being with a human head and a serpent body. Nuka repaired the pillars holding up the heavens and patched the sky, survived a great flood with her spouse Fuxin, and made humans out of mud because she wanted companions, so she has positive features. (Sounds more like my version of which there are many stories) but there is positive and negative in all creatures great or small, humans too.
Snake energy is by nature charismatic, instinctive , deep thinking – so contemplative, often slow to act but by then they know all they need to, loyal, protective, maybe possessive too and prone to jealousy, and if angered can hit home with their words like no other animal. They can harbour a grudge but also protect you with their life.
Negatives can be greed as we know some snakes swallow their prey whole. “All or nothing” comes to mind. It is very "Scorpio" in my mind as many of the Snakes I have been close to ARE Scorpios.
So we have “wise, patient, cunning, fast moving and unpredictable in their striking."
They share some characteristics with the dragon, but not as powerful, they are known as “little dragons”. And Dragons, speaking of Reptilians are definitely involved in this moving forward in our future as they are so connected to our distant past, and again positives and negatives have happened in this last year to the extreme.
We have never had so much chaos as this last year .
A friend mentioned on my page “it’s going to be chaotic” , well it already is my friend who voiced that, and Cliff high (love him or hate him) for one warned us of this with his "web bot" but so have I in this last year- one of my favourite words it seems in my articles is Chaos, as the solar system moves closer to the galactic centre and the new light rays hit us from there just like it is affecting of course our SUN which is the first body that is effected by new parts of the universe.
We are changing from one age to another and there is ALWAYS CHAOS at these times.
This is no one person’s fault as they are playing their part in this game called life when we start a brand new Chapter or even a brand new Book but that’s not quite yet.
And we are SO privileged to see this.
This is NOT about T r u m p and it is NOT about E l o n even though they have entered this new time as major players and will set the trend for whats ahead whether they are still around or not.
As Snakes regularly shed their skin so that they can emerge with new vigour, so shall some of us and especially world leaders so I expect this to mean that there will be “wheels within wheel” this year ahead, as those in charge feel their way and listen to the dangers coming- adjust and adapt, yes just like Snakes do.
President Xi Jinping was born in 1953, the Year of the Water Snake. He is a prominent player if you think of T r u m p who is a Fire Dog who has the Snake ascending sign and as they are friends they will understand each other.
I do think that Dogs relationships with Snakes in nature could be taken into consideration as Snakes hear dogs approaching and dogs equally can sniff out the snake and dance around growl and bark but they are very wary of it but they would seek help to fight the danger if needed.
Other elements in Chinese chart systems would be at play to work out relationships between people , leaders, other stars too in these associations but these two are friends and their friendship is strong due to Snake and Dog loyalties. There will not be war between usa and china at this stage in proceedings and there should be no take over of countries near china.
Elon Musk was born in the year of the Pig and maybe Pigs and Dogs get on ok if you think about it. Elon was born in the hour of the DRAGON so no wonder he rose in status during that Wood Dragon year. Wood is an element that fuels fire.
(I hope it fuels me as I was born in the year of the Fire Dog.)
Dragons also get on with Snakes as they are similar in some ways.
This coming year is therefore predicted to be much like the last, but less extreme, more building onto the ideas that were born in 2024.
Incoming US President Donald Trump was born in 1946, the Year of the Dog. He was previously elected president in 2018, the most recent Dog Year. That was then, and this is now.
As the year of the Snake comes in more strongly the bark of the dog will quieten down as the Dragon year has brought a lot of extremes and Chaos due to its competitive nature.
It was a NEW cycle of Feng Shui as well as the Dragon influence so leaders were vying with each other and there were many power struggles but it all pointed to extreme changes. Plus the total fire sign Aries eclipse in April 2024.
According to Chinese astrology, this 2025 Year of the Snake is associated with transformation, renewal, and spiritual growth.
Snakes are known for their ability to shed their skin, symbolizing the process of letting go of the old and embracing the new. This theme is expected to resonate throughout 2025, as individuals are encouraged to release their past baggage and embark on a journey of self-discovery.
This is a 9 numerology year, very similar in energies, so in a snake year we can definitely expect the influence of a Snake shedding its skin, 2025 is a year for us to let go of what’s holding us back. From a western astrological perspective, 2025 marks a pivotal point in history and will be a time of biology meeting technology.
In the year ahead the chaos will tone now a lot as this new energy hits, coupled with the changes of planets coming up, with some of our strongest planets changing signs, Neptune to Pisces, fire and water meeting which brings in creativity/intuition and other dimensional realities to the mix. That’s physics!
Technology is going to accelerate rapidly. Imposed rules will be going out the door as consensus will become more important for any decisions even though it may not seem like that now as we are still shell-shocked by the rules imposed by a zealous u n after a so called p a n d e m i c .
We will not forget those times easily for many reasons.
BELIEF SYSTEMS, POLITICS, BANKING ETC
Old boundaries, outdated political, financial and religious structures are definitely undergoing huge restructuring. The Corporate world is dying bit by bit.
The banks are shedding skins too – they will have to. Unfair systems will be abolished.
We need the strongest and most radical of leaders to accomplish this. Only the strongest and the most resilient will survive this on the world scene.
Even long term leaders like p u t I n will be shedding their skin and yes t r u m p will too so those who are seeing what they perceive as evil may be very surprised indeed.
By the time t r u m p may step down, if he has to there will be some very good groundwork done and just think how popular the next leader would be! It’s Bad Guy, Good Guy right now. That’s an old trick but a good one to keep the people happy.
We are in the midst of a period of profound transition and “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” My Dad said that a lot. He wrote it in my Autograph Book.
FUEL, ENERGY, COMMUNICATION
With Uranus about to enter Gemini mid Year plus the Wood element we are now journeying towards new sources of unseen energy, diversity, communications and the discovery of completely new dimensions. (Neptune into Pisces again)Of course, not all new technological advancements will be popular and they also might have to shed a skin or two!
It’s all part of the Yin and Yang of life someone wrote.
However innovative technologies WILL open doors for better health and healing. The med beds are being refined, quantum medicine is real!
New Weapons developed could destroy but that will pan out in its own way depending on many different factors and the power of the light coming in from other areas of the galaxy and beings too more than likely.
How it all pans out depends on many factors, but this year demands an approach to most things of respect, kindness and compassion which has the power to enable these new positive cycles to grow as we need them to.

I’ve researched back to previous years of the Wood snake. Think 1965 re music and culture, cinemas too and the new president did mention that (make Hollywood great again) but this would happen naturally due to Snake energy.
All the snakes I know have at least SOME musical talent like my mother- sister and daughter.
In 2025, expect new trends to emerge in creative industries, with artists pushing boundaries to achieve the greatest movies ever with a many new subjects.
NUCLEAR ENERGY AND MORE
Fuel systems and technologies will advance rapidly as Wood Snake’s energy can be intense and transformative, explosive breakthroughs in energy sources and energy-related new technological systems.
Increased research is a given but more so existing discoveries being make known to we the people.
Re political Movements, Wood Snake years tend to coincide with periods of people’s rights protests, political unrest and disputes over borders or territory. And look at what is happening right now in USA. The mid-1960s saw widespread activism and change, 2025 will likely bring a lot of controversy over new ideas infiltrating the old. It’s going to upset a lot of people and has dramatically already.
However it will even out as the Dragon energy fades out and gives way to a more grounded system.

Space Travel and travel Exploration re long distance is going to transform totally as in 1965, we witnessed advancements in space exploration and transportation technology. Similarly, 2025 will pave the way for notable breakthroughs in aviation, space missions and very different and fast transport systems even though some exist already.
Outer space is coming closer and much will be revealed about who and what is already here on Earth or on surroundings planets- even the Moon.
NATURAL DISASTERS
The Wood Snake year often correlates with extreme natural events. Hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones, landslides, glacial movement and explosive fire-related incidents could occur with increased frequency and velocity. This calls for greater diligence and cooperation for each country as most already know where the danger sports lie.
