Bernie, thank you for all you do to keep us thinking in a well-rounded manner. I am very certain that I stand with a host of other readers in admiring your dedication to our continuing education and awareness - and I know it's not all that easy. Thank you!!

I moved to Hillsboro, Oregon (mentioned in this article series) at the end of May (2016) - the folks here seem somewhat distressed at the weather but I find it to be warmer - and more tolerable - than I recall the South Carolina midlands to have been in the winter. It may be the warm social milieu, but in any case I'm amused to see all the fuss. The article you quoted was accurate AFAICT, just the comparison makes here seem mild.
