Unspun Readers — An Update on Bernie’s Health
You may have noticed the latest editions of Unspun have not been published. On Sunday afternoon, Australian time, Bernie had to have emergency surgery because of a health issue. The surgery went well and he is recovering.

On Thursday I was aware of his health condition so I organised some of us to send healing that day, through our community forum the Roundtable. I also made a request for some healing within our recurring weekend distant healing session.​

I still haven't got any updates. I just sent an email off to Bernie's wife so hopefully I will hear something back today.

Here is a more detailed update on Bernie's health.

So on Thursday the 30th of November, Bernie started to notice some pain and discomfort in his stomach area, plus his blood pressure was a bit high. He had an ambulance take him to hospital.

A six hour surgery took place on the Sunday after, through his abdomen with some work being done on his small bowel. There was a twist in the bowel, adhesions and necrosis, due to poor vascular supply.

The surgery went well and Bernie has been recovering ever since. The latest update was from yesterday, and he will be in hospital a few more days at least, but should be cleared after that.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms from Bernie's continued absence - his postings are definitely thought-triggering for me.

In other words, I hope he's doing incredibly well, and that we are all sending him positive energies whenever we think of the need.

He's been in communication with me actively over the past half a week I just haven't had a chance to relay some of the info on until now.

He's doing well considering what's going on for him. His mental state -- from the change in blood flow impacting his brain -- is making it hard to process certain things, as a result of the heart issue from last year and the recent operation, which of course required him to have all that stuff put into his body.

So he's still taking it easy and healing, and just from the sounds of it he is rethinking his approach to Unspun. He has some ideas around how he could return to Unspun making it a somewhat different format, which he's running by me. I need to get back to him about that and provide some advice.

So as of now it does sound like Unspun will be back, but perhaps not until a few weeks time, and when it is, it may be coming out a tad differently.

All, I wanted to give you an update on Bernie's health and situation. This is going to be posted on four threads in total just to make sure those following them get a notification.

• Since his triple bypass, his memory has become a lot worse.
• In November last year, his wife Joe passed.
• Bernie is no longer living in Tasmania. He now has family looking after him.
