With a video that shows the trek to boarding school undertaken each year for kids in a remote region of India, this article gives me reason to be very grateful! We are told that the river along which a portion of the path to school travels is normally frozen by the time it is time to travel, but if the ice is not well formed, falls are feasible and, given the high mountains and rushing river, this can be fatal. The grandfather featured talks about a time when he was pulled back from the brink by a neighbour who luckily had good footing with which to save both him and the grandchild on his back.
