It didn't take long for me to quickly create a bit of festive energy by changing the two banners for the Roundtable; one for the desktop version of the site and another for the mobile version. It was a rough change, but is only temporary after all.

If you would like to give it a go, feel free to — I may just replace what I did with your versions during this month of December. If more than one person submits something then I will rotate them.

Here are the original files which you can download, save, and then modify. Just upload them again on here with your changes. If you give this a go, make sure you modify both images as we need a Christmas version for both mobile and desktop.

Hello,

How does one modify these? Do you use a program of some sort? I'd like to play with them, if it's quick enough for me to learn. Any tips and suggestions of what tools to use are greatly appreciated.

I have the same questions. I thought of garlands along the bridge and star ornaments hanging from the trees, but have not a clue how to do it.

Well normally you would use a program like photoshop or paint shop pro. You would search online for images that are transparent and you could then resize said images to fit the size of what you want to do, then copy and paste them as a new layer on the banner, all without the image editing program you have.

There are many alternatives to Photoshop, some which are free of course. I've never used free image editing software, apart from MS paint to do something very simple, so I can't really recommend any free alternatives, but if you run a search in a search engine you would find a few.

I forgot to add that it's best to save them as jpg's, but of a high quality.
