Let Not Your Light Be Dimmed: Nine's Path Pleiadian Tarot, Week of August 16
Pleiadian tarot interpreted through the lens of Nine: this week, the swords have been put away. Last week's King has stepped aside for the King of Cups, and by the end of the week it will be the King of Rods in his place. We are in a rapid state of ascension! The week's eclipse figures prominently in this spread (see the eclipsed disc in the corner of the middle card, and Leo in the dark corner of the third). The way to the seat of full empowerment, full responsibility, maturity, and authenticity, is in turning from empty promises and empty hopes. A whole world of life awaits. Those cups, being reversed, have let out whatever it was that they held, that's for sure. The same dark mountains that are with the King of Rods show up in the preceding card. It is the same landscape. Waterfall reversed is rising river, which will certainly move the transformation along. If you look carefully, the King of Rods with his lion's rampant is sitting in his home looking out the window. Therefore, he is sheltered, but perceiving the bigger picture. The dragons on his robe show his allegiance. I hope they are the Guardian dragons of Earth.

I don't know much about Tarot, but I get this spread.
I've always like lions.

The things that caught my eye are these:

- the king of cups has a few 'bubbles' rising above his scepter. They seem to be floating away on the breeze.
the king of rods, however, has a scepter/rod that is far more prominent and, most significantly, alive with several beautiful buds about to bloom. His fingers grasp it firmly, with his thumb directing it in a way that suggests care and consideration being given to where his attention is being directed.
Also, the figure in the eight of cups also holds a rod in hand; again, a rod that has a ribbon on it and is alive with green wisps blowing off of it. Both the ribbon and the aliveness of the rod seem reminiscent of/echoes of the rod in the king of rods' hand.
- the king of cups has on relatively (for a king casual clothing in more muted colours
the king of rods has on a lot of red, the colour of foundation/root chakra and of blood. That blood that is shown as being contained on/in him in beautiful spiraling patterns (as Hailstones Melt says, dragon patterns), rather than spilled. Red is also shining gracefully in the stones of his necklace as the light strikes each stone.
- the faces also jump out at me, and my reaction to them is most interesting, as I find it changing as I re-read Maryann's words. From an initial reaction to the king of cups as one who is smiling benignly and the king of rods as being rather grim, I find myself looking at a king of cups who may have a self-satisfied smirk on his face, whereas the king of rods appears to be looking inward even as he looks out his window, bringing his insight to bear on what he sees. I'd rather hang out with the latter now

This is a recurring theme for me, that these reading make far more sense when re-read.

Such sensitive insights. I also had the impression of pyramids, in terms of them being tombs of past pharaohs (whether they actually were or not, the symbol is there), and of an ancient time receding along with its structures of esotericism. I love how the images echo from card to card, as if the idea is alive.
