This news item cracked me up because I had thought about doing the same thing.

After the big "release the memo" tweet extravaganza, 2 of our illustrious elected reps decided it had to be Russian bots driving the tweet storm. They went on send a letter to FB and Twitter asking them to investigate the obvious infiltration of Russian bots.

I often am amazed that people cannot see a few steps ahead. Their offices were flooded with telephone calls and emails from people letting them know they were not Russian bots. Lines were tied up and some staffers were not too happy with the callers.

On Tuesday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) urged Twitter and Facebook to conduct a thorough forensic examination into the #ReleaseTheMemo campaign as ‘potentially an ongoing attack by Kremlin-linked social media actors’ also referred to as “Russian bots”.

Sigh.... and I'm in California.... :fp:)|
"We" are surrounded by intelligent "idiots" who seem to believe their own dogma even in the face
of utter humiliation.
See Tom Steyer with his "rants" on impeachment and his million-dollar commercials.
It is almost impossible to have a logical political discourse here, so I stay away from them.
Sigh.... :fp:)|

Kevin, we have some real pips in Texas, too. In the olden days, there was an Austin saying "Hide your women and lock up your money, the Legislature is in town".

Saw a news blurb that Twitter said the traffic came from real people in the US.

Haha... true.

BTW - any of you seen this? Internal memo indicating Muelller and Strozk already knew beforehand that the odds of a Russian collusion are nil.

Yet... the media keeps pumping every move as a "major development". Sigh....

Linda, did you see a counter-movement to basically cut out the "liberal" islands and create a "New California"?
If it happens, it will be a riot.
https://newcaliforniastate.com/

Steyer/Padilla/Brown/etc. - gunshot - ricochet......aimed at you.... Sigh.....

And the stupidest policy proposal ever: the CA Democrats proposed to seize "half" of federal tax savings from corporations. Facepalm......... :fp
If this happens, the trickle of outgoing corporations will turn into a flood.

Uh, I take that back. The stupidest policy proposal by Brown - regulate cow farts due to "global warming" impact. o_O:rolleyes:O_o

Kevin, I did see the New California proposal. I took it as a study in frustration. I was going to say how in the world do these people keep getting re-elected, but I could pose the same question here.

The Austin area gets something like 2 families a day moving here. I think Dallas gets more. In fact, there are realtors there who specialize in California to Dallas moves. People from California are pleasantly surprised because what they got in the sale of a small house or condo buys a large, very nice house here. Plus, Texas does not have a state income tax.

New home construction is moving along here and if you are quick, you can get a house in a nice neighborhood - something to keep in mind for all you Californians. On that note, there was a meme going around about people moving to Texas that said something like "Welcome to Texas. Austin is full. Try Dallas or Houston".

We were having a discussion last night about all the FBI and DOJ stuff. One person commented that the president could fire the lot of them. I countered with he has to let it play out; otherwise, he would be perceived as obstructing justice.

It reminds me of my days as a special ed teacher. The most powerful learning opportunity is natural consequences. A good teacher could see what was going to happen, and if no one was going to be seriously injured, then you could let it play out. It is astounding to see how quickly children learn in those situations.

I find it tough to 'rate' this post. I reach for the 'funny' icon at one moment, the 'facepalm' one the next, then the 'here's a hug' one...

Ah, justice for those who insist without looking ahead... a maelstorm of calls from 'real people' irate at it being insinuated that they are 'obviously Russian bots' seems just the thing to take the learning to a new level!

I would like a "I am going insane" icon. That would fit this one, lol.

Lila, that goes for "everything" in CA, including the zany environmentalists who insist that we not clear wild brushes (which fan huge wildfires during Santa Ana winds seen these past 2 years), not build aqueducts and reservoirs to avoid harming local species (drought and water issues), and open-borders/sanctuary cities (which has resulted in exploding homeless encampments and the accompanying infectious diseases such as Hep A/C, syphillis, meningitis, tuberculosis, etc., exploding crime/drugs plus Mexican gang warfare), no limited offshore drilling (no energy independence). I could go on and on, but those are the main ones.

The only one I give them credit for is legalized medicinal marijuana. About time. Drug wars don't do anything, just more casualties. See the Prohibition Era and Al Capone.

Sooo... either this is by design over the past 60 years, or Brown and the CA Democrats/CA college system are completely brainwashed by the Coudenhove-Kalergi plan, and cannot put two and two together. So either we have Dr. Strangelove, or we have complete utter "educated" idiots.

Sigh..... Sorry for the rants. I have to keep all this internal because even my own relatives are completely brainwashed as well. They literally said (right after the election) that Trump will be impeached within 6 months because he's an "a-s". Uh....... when do we incarcerate/implicate/impeach people for personality issues??!?

Well, needless to say, the liberals here are eating crow so far......................... Russian collusion - bupkis, financial whatever - zero, other illegal stuff - zilch, economy tanking due to Trump's domestic and foreign policies - not happening...... Yet, the local media focuses on his Twitter rants, lol.
:((:confused:o_O:)|

Unfortunately enough almost all the people that escape California then try to replicate the society they just left wherever they relocate to. It is like an infection that contaminates other areas/States I'm afraid.

Will they ever stop? Will they ever notice how ridiculous they are? That no one still right in their mind will believe them anymore?

Yet another echo chamber public politician puppet who needs to demonstrate he's just a soulless scare- and warmonger.

I'm so fed up with them.

Stirring up uncertainty in any way anyone can come up with?

If so, I associate such activity with internal chaos and desperation and cannot imagine it wouldn't come back to 'bite' itself, like a young dog chasing its tail and eventually, to its great surprise:((:)|, succeeding!

Well, it is the year of the dog very soon...

Feels like defensive moves from a crumbling system. They are simply using the same weapons that served them successfully for thousands of years: fear and greed.

I saw something about a new name for the MSM, and I think Echo Chambers will work just fine. Sinera mentioned it earlier.

The image I get is that as more people leave the Echo Chambers, the ones left are bouncing off the sides, rather than other people, and they get more and more frazzled and think and say more outlandish things. Eventually they will not be able to maintain the frenetic pace and just fall down in a worn-out heap.
