We are entering the last quarter moon phase today, a time to make readjustments if necessary to our plans and projects, perhaps through matters that have arisen from the last full moons cathartic energies. This can also be a time to reap the rewards of what we have been working on or close off a project or plan. This is not typically a favorable time for launching something new, as our "audience" may be critical or uninterested. Yesterday was quite powerful with Rx Mars in Aquarius opposing Venus in Leo, bringing a bit more excitement than some of us may have wished for, but still rather a stimulating day for the emotions and self expression. For many of us it was a positive and rather motivating day with Sun trine Jupiter. This energy is still around in fact. Today Venus in Leo is...

Interesting! I struggle trying to understand somebody from that sign, tough period too (years actually) -specially for somebody like me from the sign of Aries.

Yes Pod I am Pisces with Capricorn ascending and Saturn in Cancer, so you and I will feel this eclipse. It might shift a few things- change a dynamic or two or set the process off.

My daughter is Capricorn with Cancer moon , and Grandson has Cancer moon and Ascendant. Another daughter has Capricorn ascendant so lots of family stuff going down and not OK parent/child issues coming up for some of us.

I am not usually around family much but am at present for two weeks. A good test for me !

Carl, you had 7 years of Uranus in your sign so there was a whole energy shift for you in May and a brand new 7 year cycle beginning, which should long term be helpful and bring more calmness into your life, financial changes too, but if you are born early in the sign of Aries you are experiencing Saturn's square aspect which will bring some chickens home to roost and a bit of hard work maybe, push you to be more of your best self and take care of anything you have put off !

This series of Cap/Cancer eclipses beginning are powerful due to Saturns position in that same axis in Capricorn, his own sign so we are more aware than ever of the Capricorn energies ... Capricorn is a sign that can bring out the "father" energy within and without, our own inner "parent" stuff.

Very good assessment Janne! Thanks! Not born early in the sign of Aries (12th degree actually), however, Saturn is currently opposing my natal Uranus in the 4th house (which incidentally trines my Moon in 12th and is in sextile to my Mercury in the 2nd -yeah a powerful configuration in my natal chart there giving me intuition, empathy, love for the occult/mysteries, etc.). The current Saturn impacts are obviously in those sectors. Yes, Uranus in Aries brought the upheavals you mentioned, since impacted my first house as well (early/unplanned retirement due to a couple of strokes, move to other State, serious/unexpected impacts in my relationship with my wife, both my parents passing, etc.). Yes, I'm hoping for a better 7 year period with Uranus in Taurus, specially when it hits consistently the Uranus-Mercury-Moon natal configuration mentioned above.

Janne, I had my natal chart done by Roy Gillett, of Astrological Advice Bureau in New Zealand, back in 1983. Have you heard of him? It is the best, easy-to-understand astrological information I have ever received, and I am glad I transcribed the tape way back then, because I can always look over it. Needless to say, it's one of those areas in life that your understanding deepens with age and experience. So the first time I read it, it's a different take-out experience to now. For instance, he says: "Neptune sextile Pluto sextiles Jupiter, Jupiter trine Pluto: this indicates enthusiasm for spiritual understanding, for intuitive and sensitive goals in life, particularly Neptune in Scorpio, which means that you will want to go very much to the depths of processes by which spiritual understanding occurs, but also a real interest in psychology, in the way that emotions work, and the way this stability can be achieved and perfected. In the midst of all change, how the unchanging can be found."

Sorry for my late reply but I have been away from home. I have not heard of many NZ astrologers as I lived and studied in Aust with the FAA. I was born in NZ but have not lived here much. My colleagues that I know well and have met are mainly Australians and Americans.

I am pleased you got something out of the reading from this man but its unusual for someone to talk about the outer planetary aspects like that or the aspects at all to a client although I do it if its the Sun and the moon aspects at time,s as they really count the most as the whole chart has to be synthesised.
The inner planets count the most for in depth matters, even Mercury and Venus, and Venus/Neptunian aspects for instance bring a great deal of spirituality to a person and "right motive" as an example by conjunction or trine.

The outer planets are in signs for a very long time and are in aspect to other outer planets for a long time so they are very general and many people have the same whereas with the Sun and moon they change daily. Jupiter IS important however b ut still remains around the same degrees for about 8 months and is in a sign for a year.

I am sure your birth chart shows a great interest in psychology with your sun and aspects, and also the house position, but the main thing is that you resonated to what this man was telling you and recognised it within self so that is the reading validated "self" and your in depth understanding of life.
From what you have quoted, this mans method sounds a little "text book" as if he is reading the meaning from the book but am sure he does a good job and the main thing is that you were pleased with the results. But those outer planets have to blend with the whole chart pattern so there will be more in your chart that shows the deeper aspects of your nature.

I dont preach astrology to people. Its a science and an art and involves maths and geometry.
47 year or so ago I set out to prove it wrong as I studied numerology then but I found I had a talent for astrology and it works.

I am happy with 80 % correct in my readings as free will counts.

I have never advertised my work. Its all word of mouth, and I specialise in Medical and psychological astrology , also enjoy the karmic aspects of it.
