I like the distinction that things happen because something is related rather than for a reason.

It's so disempowering to believe that 'things happen for a reason'. When we learn to 'map' out the connections it's amazing to see how our consciousness got filtered into certain beliefs about ourselves in relation to the 'world.' The stories of our souls journey unravels as we discover the nugget of ligh/wisdon/teaching etc. within which of course can end 'karma'. It's so much easier to make lasting changes through realisations that shift our consciousness. No life story is pointless or without merit, no matter how we view our lives or the lives of others.
