8 swords.jpgBound and determined… Is it so frightful that you can’t bear to look? Yet you want to see, and so you are caught in a loop of logic. How to have the clarity you know you need without poisoning your peace of mind with what you think might be there has you bound. You seem to be locked in place, at least for the moment. While you’re resting from the struggle, consider your position. It’s true, there are some realities surrounding your current situation, things that can’t be helped, things that seem to be be blocking all access routes to freedom. Were you to remove the blindfold, you could at least know what’s there. However, were you to remove the blindfold, you’d have to adjust your angle of vision downward quite a bit to really make them out. You see, your position has changed since you last took full consideration with open eyes. You’re on a higher plane now. Let this be the first consideration, and feel the tension start to loosen.

It’s been some time since you fashioned the knot that holds your vision in abeyance. Whole landscapes have shifted in the meantime. You might think your dream was firmly settled in the distance, safe and secure, but you sense that it might now be hovering precariously at the edge of doom. Is it better not to look? So far, it has been shielding you from the full impact of fear’s teleplay. All the thoughts that might otherwise tear you to shreds have remained where you put them, safely lodged in the foundation of your stationary orbit. Cordoning off your safe space has bought you time. The world has changed while you’ve been tending to the picture held in your mind. Yet you are not insensate; you know something is different, even if you can’t see it. Consider this: You needed to be where you’ve been in order to see with fresh eyes exactly what has changed. The time for that is coming. Let this consideration loosen the tension around you a little more.

Blindness comes in many forms. It can be self-imposed, of course, or it can come from a kind of shock overwhelming the ability to process what’s seen. It can also settle in imperceptibly, the mind making minuscule adjustments to microscopic changes in the environment so that change itself is never perceived. At some point, is it true that you made a choice not to be blind to what’s going on around you, so that you voluntarily held your position without regard to the slow morphing of reality’s projection? Consider now that to choose to be blind to the illusion can afford you clearer sight. By holding your gaze on the goal held in stasis within the mind’s vault, you have actually maintained a core reality in a safe space while seismic change has shaken everything else. The time has come for you to see. At this point, you are merely blind to what you cannot see coming. The clarity of your inner vision unveiled will take in what has come into the field of view before you. Let this consideration remind you how to untie the knot. Be ready to step past the limits of the zone. You’re at the edge of a vital shift in awareness.

It’s been some time since you fashioned the knot that holds your vision in abeyance.
It is impossible to be human without filtering the absolute. Dips into the absolute, from the human focus, are inherently overwhelming and obliterating at first taste – the contrast is so dramatic, and so much that was ‘known’ is stripped bare. It is certainly my experience that growth, that movement towards the absolute now that is inherent to all life, by definition, can have this ‘open-close-open-close’ flavour, just like when learning to ride a bicycle we lean too far left, nearly fall/fall, recover drastically right, nearly fall – etc, etc, etc. All learning seems to follow this pattern – and eventually masters of the ride maintain that effortless balance, where nothing seems to happen at all and the bike just keeps rolling on. It takes practise and time – to learn this perfect nothing in between. So what do we do when time seems to be potentially running out, globally? No time or space left for oscillating wobbles. I fashioned that knot/not a long time ago, in the personal that never really was, and the absolute was too much for lil’ole’me – and yet there is no escape; how could there be? Forever isn’t going anywhere. I have always known since that the k/not can and will be untied, and it is apropos to hear this from you/me now. Important to be reminded that even in such aloneness one is never alone – perhaps that is the best that can be expected. It is certainly a comfort, anyway – of sorts. Thank you again, you have excellent timing.

Well that question set me wobbling for a while, mostly chattering monkey time. I think the centre of the knot is the perfect nothing in between I mentioned. The centre of the knot is mastery. The centre of the knot is peace. Intellect can seem miraculous though in the way in which it can arrive at such realisations with little apparent connection to the felt-self. To know peace, but not feel peace, is an ironic kind of knot, is it not? It forces me to wonder whether this is knowing at all.

It’s curious. When I was a child I had a fever. No – not hand-balloons for the Pink Floyd aficionados out there… I had a fever as a child, and I remember knotted rope being stuffed into my mouth, more and more and more of it, until I was convinced my jaw was going to shatter and my face destroyed. A fever dream. When asked years later, as a teenager, what I was scared of, I replied ‘knots, big knots’ – it was all I could come up with. I related the fever dream to explain it. I have ground my teeth since childhood, in my sleep, so much so that I recently had twelve extensions on my front teeth and wear two guards, nightly, to prevent the final destruction of what is left of my teeth. I am still trying to stop those knots being shoved into my mouth, nearly half a century later.

My point is consciousness – self-awareness – control. I am not in charge of this. I am not trying to destroy my own mouth – I never was. What I am doing, I think, is responding spontaneously to what arises. Just because I know who I really am, what peace really is – doesn’t mean that I know this on all levels. My sleeping self is clearly clueless in this sense. Sometimes the whole world around me looks exactly like that; I know, but I don’t know.

So yes – zero point, nine, unformed vibration – the peace of source, all of this I freely acknowledge is the centre of the knot. Yet – my life has been moulded by the knot. And I look around – and I see knot-lives everywhere I look, people 'destroying themselves in their sleep'. I know of nobody who is knot this too, in their own way. In some sense that I am yet to reduce into reasoned persuasion, this seems to me the puzzle of this world that requires a pragmatic, practical solution, before we can all move on from the hells we have made, for ourselves and each other, with the best of intentions.

I'm thinking of a passage in my book about knots. As it comes from basically the same source as the original message of this post, perhaps it is germane, and will unravel some of the thoughts that are proving it to be a potent catalyst of awareness. It's rather long, so indulge me here, or ignore it as you wish… I merely drop it in:

'Lesson one in reality changing is to make the normal changes you would make in your own address if you would choose to come to a higher-vibrating reality in your own imaginary dreams. Dreaming gets to be an essential lifeline in the game, one which you all will become proficient at in the coming times. By the time you break out of the reality you’ve been locked into, dreaming a new reality into being will be a matter of thinking brave new thoughts and charging them with emotional energy. By understanding how to de-mine your emotional field, you are better able to create realities you can enjoy rather than climb out of and hate. Nemesis is your guide. Nemesis is a dream-refiner. She is able to point out to you which points could be de-sampled and which places you are stuck. Neither you nor Nemesis is ordering your life. It is your soul which does that. A little off-topic but fundamental to our story nonetheless….

'Riding princely on a fine horse, the Novenian king tipped his hat to a lender of magic spells he used for dream manifestation. The king’s dream did indeed come true, and he was riding to a more ism-less country. He was asked to be king there, so he relinquished his kingdom of ism-ness. The error he made, however, was to employ cutthroat means to achieve his end. Luckily for him there was a lodestone nearby which knotted perfectly black knots where loose ends might be and this kept the dream from unraveling. Oddly, great pressure began to loosen the knots such that he kept moving from knot to knot, tying them tighter. Nearly losing his mind from long years festering within such a dark web of energetic knowledge of using wrong samples to escape a projected prison, he made a decision to mend every wrong and re-weave his reality on a stronger natural order. Defining greatness as that which he hoped to achieve in the life he was living which brought the most satisfaction to the most people, leaving no one out and favoring no one above another, he changed the projections of his mind to darkness-reflecting light, Nemesis. “X”es marked the places in his world where sections of nature needed the most lovingly created change to occur. Care far outweighed his dream’s original diversionary character and created a new source of deregimentation of understanding. As Nemesis says, more demons are born of ignorance than engineered by evil intent.

'For some time he worked with the idea of going from knot to knot and stretching the loose ends together, but soon he realized that was not very practical. More effective and efficient would be to totally re-create his own reality, bringing a new understanding of perfection to his thought-generating nomenclature. Rather than calling a non-functioning field randomness “dispensable trash,” he began to call it “fortunate opportunity.” Rather than calling remembrance of past bad decisions “guilt” he called it “moving awareness.” Rather than calling obstacles “necessary evils to be disposed of” he called them “fasten your seatbelts it’s time to change perspective.” Cringe no longer did he at the harrowing regret driving his change in vocabulary; he cried out no more in his sleep. A new breath filled him, one he gulped as a man just saved from drowning gulps the air. Victory over the demons of his regretful ignorance was the most joyful grand victory of his life as a king. He never once gave heed to the nay-sayers in his court when he was busy tying knots. Little did he know they were more wise in their education of him than he believed at the time. Soon he was making new friends and healing old wounds. How did he do it?

'One day he told an adviser his long-borne illness and its cure were no secret. Fear of failure to do the right thing had kept him in a constant state of stress. He was exhausted and ready to leave the game altogether, when appearing from nowhere a light man called his name. “Mend not the mistakes you think you’ve made. You cannot create new berries on a branch that has broken,” he told him. “Knowledge of the Nemesis now renders you speechless. It is a good time to make a new language not based on gathering all that you find unpleasant but on natural law as revealed to those who are learning about the Nemesis as a positive force in co-creation. Have no fear — love is the Nemesis’ game. You fear losing your sanity justifying tying all your little black knots. Wake up. You risk more by doing things your way than you do by trying a different nature. You need not glide off into insanity or obliteration. You need merely change your mind. How you change your mind is how you change your language. Language carries consciousness.”

'“With that,” the king said, “the being vanished, but his words sent a ripple of fear running through my body, and fear left. What happened next I found most intriguing. All the words I used to speak about life and machinery of mind suddenly became like lye in my mouth. I recoiled at the effect uttering them had on my being. Were I to continue speaking as I always had, I would only manage to choke out a few syllables before losing the power of speech altogether. Forced thus to seek a new mode of expression, I found myself guided by an unseen intelligence to find a completely new way of verbalizing my thought. For instance, when I peppered my food too highly, great mobs of unspeakable thoughts rushed forward and demanded my attention. Were I to say them even now, I would choke. Rather than sit with such a mess, I recollected what the being said to me and found myself saying things like, ‘Too much of a good thing is a lot. Have a lot because it is a good thing. Anything less would be denying yourself.’ You can see a big change was overtaking me. In my former state, my immediate response would have been one of rage followed by a nasty harangue directed at no one in particular. I know now that my body heard every word. I realized I was dishonoring only myself — and disrespecting all, by extension. Psychologically, I was healing through the recalibration of my use of language. My mental condition improved, then messy thoughts themselves became reordered of their own accord. Messy feelings followed the trend of change, and ultimately my body got more life to it. Now I see a change overtaking all aspects of my realm. And all I did was use another mode of expression. So, my friend, I do not ask how you are but how you are becoming. I do not wish you a nice day; rather I ask you to remember that you are master of your domain. Know that you dream your day into being. See the difference?”

'The king’s equal you are. Open your mind to receive the fortune he has laid out before your feet. Be aware of the caustic nature of your words, and do not be afraid to roll out a totally new way of being. Now that you have this most fascinating key to the energetic palace of order and sanity, you are free to do what you wish with the information. However, be aware that doing nothing is the same as using a blowtorch to kiss your child goodnight.

'In rearranging your thoughts, you rearrange your reality. Fanciful notions of yourself as a sovereign being who answers to no one are the same as erroneous beliefs in yourself as a victim of a vast and unresponsive hoax of a life. You choose to remain and you choose to change the scenery. It’s all a projection of your mind. Still your mental tyrant with one deft move. Just when you feel the lye burning your lungs, exhale the poison. Inhale nothing but the light of the void of OM, the void which is nothing but OM’s reality-creating range of total possibility and total love. Put your mind in the state of love, not fear. Often you have nothing but the empty shell of a memory of fear lodged in your mind’s innermost haven of silent, nameless things that make your physical body react with dramatic tension. Like a torn shirt you refuse to let go of, your memory serves no function but to remind you of where you have been and the insanity you have perceived. There comes a time for an old shirt to become a rag. By the time it reaches the rag pile, you have given an old reality a new life and purpose. Is that not a shirt? No, it is a cloth that polishes like none other. It is a great rag. Ventilation made it a not-shirt. Raghood gave it something to be proud of. Likewise it is with a memory with sanity-draining sobbing as its soundtrack. Neither the memory nor the sobbing serve any purpose centuries after the originating event or a moment after an unkindness. Deserts are made of more fertile ground in persistence of remembrance of pain. Let the impotent memory crumble. Let it be relegated to a ragpile of its own making, having saturated itself with your and others’ tears. Let it find new meaning as dream-fodder on another merit — that of sanity-restoring movement leaning towards the dream of sense and order. Once it is used thus, it is just another rag, needed only for cleanup of spilled milk.'

Language carries consciousness.
Yes, and the nemesis of the world constructed by language is NOW, it has to be. Language is, generally, stale poetry – a craft which attempts to capture and fix in time/memory an inherently flowing and dynamic experience. In the moment of creation this poetry is a part of the now and flow; as everyday language it becomes increasingly fixed and unreal. The word ‘tree’ captures a fixed bare outline, the experience of ‘tree’ is an unending, dynamic flow. So NOW, the source of everything, consistently undermines our fixed ideas, it is the real nemesis of our language-bound self-reflections in time, the ‘enemy’ that can never be defeated, and it forces us to grow – or withdraw into increasingly detached delusion. I really like this notion you have here of knots being the tying of loose ends, and I will spend time in the coming weeks letting this concept sink into my childhood interpretation of the fever dreams. Perhaps I won’t get my pointy teeth back, but I don’t really need them to be honest, I’m quite adapted now.
