Those look like quartzes with inclusions of all kinds of stuff; probably mostly iron oxides considering the colour. I think I see glints of amethyst too.
Those little gems are the epitome of crystals in terms of glowing, sparkling colour<3
One65 , I do the same thing. I usually use amethyst before best and sleep with it. It also gets really warm. And I usually get songs too. Yesterday it was “Down in the Park.”
A portion of the song goes,
We are not lovers
We are not romantics
We are here to serve you
...possibility, I think) to have some sparkle, though slightly different types of sparkle.
7 could easily be blue apatite.
My best guess is amethyst for 8, mostly because of the top bit. Also, I'm betting there are a lot of other minerals along with it, which can happen with amethyst; that would...
...more research:
6 - perhaps the left two are Orange Calcite and the right two are quartz, although the bottom right has lines through it..
edit - or could the two on the right be orange moonstone?
7 - is Blue Apatite
8 - is Amethyst or Lepidolite?
9 - is Green Opal
What are your thoughts...
Pastelbat, I agree that I see what looks like quite a few pieces of calcium in different colours with probably fluorite and amethyst too.
I agree about the citrine and peacock ore. Both are beautiful stones.
The big green one could be aventurine? It's a bit tough to tell in the photo.
I wonder...
The orange one in middle looks like citrine. You are right about amethyst.
Everyone looking for rock identification should get themselves The Crystal Bible. It is excellent.
I got quite a few rocks and crystals when my mother brought them home from her classroom and I need help identifying them. Some I think might be amethyst or fluorite. One of the green ones I think could be calcite, but I'm not sure on any of them.
...Malachite often comes with chyrsocolla. (I'm wearing such a pendant now).
Best guess for 6 is iron oxides etc in quartz
8 looks like an amethyst tip to me.
Love the colours for 7 + 9 (serpentine?) though I've not much to add.
I did something similar a few years ago... went to a rock shop to...
...beautiful green forest and the bluest sky and water. You go up a few steps to go in and inside is a large round hall. The floors are made of amethyst crystals and there's a marble walk way across the hall front to back and side to side. In the center coming out of the floor is a large dome...
...crystals have called to me all my life - sometimes in stores but often they appear at my feet. We live on a granite outcrop with quartz and amethyst all around, as well as lava.
Stones have their own molecular components, which is why diamonds have many uses other than decoration. So that is...
Oh bless you LIla. This is not a good photo is it? The stone is purple actually, definitely not metal.
I think it is a member of the amethyst family.....will take a better photo tomorrow in the sun.
Thank you for your help

...from 4 kits to build a mantle clock, and everyone was happy about it. The clocks were different colors - I recall yellow-gold, blue, and amethyst. I was watching people building their clocks, tiny brick by tiny brick and saw that the clocks had special / magical properties to heal...
Beautiful pieces.
Linda , if you have time, would you pick out a stone for me please? How much are they?
I have a lovely amethyst a dear friend gifted to me recently. I will take a picture & share later.
I’m not interested in diamonds, and haven’t got a favourite really, do love Amethyst, but they are all so beautiful.
I particularly like Turquoise, but that’s probably because I love the colour.
...like astrophyllite, seraphinite, moldavite and other 'starry stones'.
And how could you not appreciate the beauty of a deep rich purple amethyst (or sugilite, chaorite, tanzanite, iolite, stichtite and other 'violet flame' stones)? Or of a beautiful quartz? Smoky quartz? Or the deep blacks...
Love blue sapphires, emeralds, amethyst, and turquoise. I have quite a few necklaces of different stones and find I often select one to wear based on the situation. Somehow, my hands just go to the right ones. I cannot wear heavy earrings, so I have mostly studs and small dangles. There was a...
There are some amazing crystals out there and amethysts with a dark rich purple can be quite attractive. I always had a strong interest in Ceylon sapphires, with the deep blues.
What's your favorite mineral/crystal/stone when it comes to value, such as what a diamond may mean to many, but...
...bottom one may be rhodonite.
Pic 7 has a stone in the top right with a chevron (like this: ^) stripe in it that is often found in chevron amethyst. If so, it has been coloured.
If uncoloured, the stone in Pic 10 could be a beautiful turqoise. if coloured, it is most likely to be a howlite (a...
