Joe Rogan Turns a Snowball Into an Avalanche (1 Viewer)

I made a lot of notes yesterday for a post about this idea, but a few minutes ago, Bill forwarded an article written by another on the same topic. Now, that in itself is interesting because it is evidence of the coalescence of ideas, which is something that has happened many times in our history.

Listening to the Joe Rogan podcast with Dr. Robert Malone (inventor of mRNA technology), I noticed that Joe verbalized precisely what many of us are thinking - government overreach / sanctions and media complicity are insane - no other way to disguise it now. When Malone said he was on Gettr, which is an uncensored program much like twitter, Joe asked - What is Gettr? With that question, the giant ship of public awareness made a major course correction.

So, Joe joined Gettr January 2nd, asked his twitter followers to move, and this morning (3rd), he has 8.3 million followers. The author, Quoth the Raven made some observations.

When the last hour of the podcast was coming to its conclusion as I was finishing an 8 mile run, a thought dawned on me: this interview with Malone is now officially out there and, no matter how much anyone tries to censor it, it can’t be taken back.​

As we all know, nowadays when you make it on JRE, you’ve officially “made it”. ​

Putting aside the obvious irony of Twitter attempting to ban somebody and the person in question going viral as a result, I also thought about how, despite the fact that Malone’s opinions put him at odds with the mainstream media (who would never dare to have him on), Joe Rogan launched him past the usual media suspects and into the real “mainstream”. ​

I then thought to myself that in 2022, the mainstream media as we know it today (CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, etc.) is going to be forced to change its narrative on Covid. ​

“It’ll never happen,” you’re thinking to yourself, right? Let me explain.​

​

The idea of the media being forced to change its tune on Covid is something I touched upon a couple of days ago when I wrote about the Omicron variant and how the media is creating a mass hysteria mountain out of a mole hill. ​

But after listening to Dr. Robert Malone‘s well reasoned arguments, delivered for three straight hours, concisely and calmly, it became clear to me that the entire mainstream media machine could wind up falling at the hands of content creators like Joe Rogan.​

Rogan generates so many views and has grown so quickly - strictly because he allows open dialogue, civil discourse and approaches things with honest intent – that there is no financial incentive to de-platform him. Ever notice how YouTube apparently had no problem taking down Rogan's interview with Malone, but hasn’t banned Rogan’s channel from the site yet?​

One issue for media and political elites to consider is the fact that Rogan has supporters on both sides of the aisle. These supporters watch him because he routinely touches on topics that are considered faux pas or irreverent. The question of whether or not Rogan’s legacy and impact are here, and are going to remain here, can be answered with a resounding “yes”.

Rogan has thrived, whether intentionally (bringing on people specifically because they are being censored) or unintentionally (shooting the shit with people he finds interesting), from the start, by shining light in the dark areas that the mainstream media refuses to discuss.​

And here comes the cancel culture.....

Talking about a similar situation with a friend and how people often come up to you later and quietly thank you for speaking out. That's sort of nice, but dang, it gets tiring being the spear catcher.

The complainants want Spotify to cancel Rogan's show - their highest rated and largest audience program - so we'll see how that goes. My thinking is that the Spotify folks can see a backlash coming their way if they succumb to the noisy few.

Getting down to their core argument:​

In episode #1757, Rogan hosted Dr. Robert Malone, who was suspendedfrom Twitter for spreading misinformation about COVID-19. Dr. Malone used the JRE platform to further promote numerous baseless claims, including several falsehoods about COVID-19 vaccines and an unfounded theory that societal leaders have “hypnotized” the public. Many of these statements have already been discredited. ​

The links go to an instagram slideshow and three MSM 'fact checks' - one of which doesn't even discuss Malone, and say his actions are not only "objectionable and offensive, but also medically and culturally dangerous."​

And of course, just three of the signatories are immunologists, roughly 10% are nurses or nurse practitioners, and 33 are some type of 'assistant' (professor, nurse, lab, etc.). In short - hardly any of these people are qualified to refute Malone, which is probably why they link to 'fact checks' instead of compiling their own response on the merits of what Malone said.​
