Unda - Wave

Unda attingit
The wave has reached you

Te et abducit
And now it is sweeping you away

Te in profunda
[Carrying] you into the deep

Sicut es unda
And now, you are [a part of] the wave

... hmm, kind of quantum physics, or what ...

I LOVE these lyrics!!!!!!!

I found it. The band is Faun. Are all of their songs in Latin?

Latin! I am so fascinated by Latin and ancient languages. Do you know how to speak it, @Sinera ?
No. Once tried to learn it at university, started a course, but it is difficult. I stayed with French and Spanish then as foreign languages.

No, they do all kinds of old and new languages, ancient pagan or medieval tunes, also oriental ones, even English sometimes.

Strange you can't see that vid, it should not be country-restricted. Maybe because of the movie pics in it?

I posted them before here long ago, I think it was this live video below, but not sure. Maybe also others.

Anyway, since it is so nice here we go again, it is my now favourite of them. I could hear it every day on repeat, gives me so much nice goose bumps every time, especially Eivar's voice.

It is performed in a Church together with Wardruna. A christian church is actually pretty funny since the song is about pagan god Odin.
:-)):ROFL::fp

This time the language is in Norwegian and first in German. Hope this is not restricted:

I drive east in the mornings on my way to work, and one of the highways is a bypass, which attracts 18-wheelers wanting to avoid the city traffic. So there I am blazing along with the big trucks when a song pops into my head - "Eastbound and Down", which you might know from the movie, Smokey and the Bandit. Ok, ok, it is a bit of a stretch to go from Burt Reynolds in his Trans Am to me in my Toyota, but I thought it was hilarious.

The other part of the story is that when my dad was in college, he drove a pipe truck for an oil company during the summers. He always kept his commercial license. One weekend he said he had a surprise and arranged with someone to drive one of their big trucks (no trailer) with me as passenger. Wow - that was something - we were so much bigger than all the other vehicles and so much more powerful. It was exciting.

For those of you too young or outside the US, the premise of the movie is bringing Coors beer back to Georgia. Coors was only made in Colorado and could be bought there and a few places in Texas. It acquired a bit of a mystique, so people would do all sorts of things to get it.

Turning (Kvervandi)

Life from every death,
death from every life.
Life from every death,
death from every life.

The wheel sings of rings,
not lines.

Out of the gap of Ginnunga
you are, you were, you become, you gain, you grow!
You awaken!
You awaken!
Life from every death,
death from every life.

I love that soul-stirring violin on that very recent live performance:

According to the band a song about "never giving up and always moving forward, no matter what difficulties need to be endured". It also reveals to overcome the 'inner fears and demons' that hinder you like it is signified when the 3 girls actually represent the 'monsters' seen before in the end. Also Karate is a metaphor for this struggle, of course, but there is always more in Martial Arts than just body coordination and physical fight anyway. And yes, it's from Japan, too. I find their culture highly interesting and intriguing.

I still prefer 'Gimme Chocolate' which I think you've already linked.
