Nice, yeah there are many analogies to explain it metaphorically. The tree-leaves one is beautiful but has for me the problem that the leaves 'leave' the tree in automn and die in the ground.
...and then in spring the tree grows new leaves which 'bring it back to life again' like a phoenixO.o:D
And like Pucksterguy says, nothing is really wasted, at least (as you point out) not in a natural ecosystem.
Lol, these analogies are a hoot to play with:D

I also like the computer avatar symbolism. It is more apt for the techies I suppose. The HS is the player and each avatar is 'used' (not the best word maybe) in a computer game said:
Ooh, I can almost see a movie script coming from this one (or the theater one; but more likely the tech-oriented one nowadays).
So, you mean we are playing a big role-playing game. How Tom Campbell-ish of you;)

One of the problems I have is that my past-life memories are usually of entities that I find to be more worthy. Sometimes I feel that I am just a cog in a corrupt capitalistic machine. It is not even service to self, it is service to another while I really don't love that "another".

I really wish that one day I would be able to have the income to support me and whoever I need to while I am doing spiritual work. This world needs guidance, not just another construction technician. It is such a pointless and pity existence when compared to the times when I could really make a difference to the way people lived.

Of course, there might be something about the way I live my life that I am not necessarily seeing or understanding, but I have a dream.

Perhaps it is not a past-life memory but a view of a future life that you will have as fulfillment of your dream. One curious point to consider is that we are dealing with dimensions where "time" is not an element like what we have currently. What if you future incarnation is not from what we consider our linear future but in our past. Remember that from the perspective of a timeless existence all is happening at the same time, therefore reincarnation does not necessarily has to be time progressive the way we conceive it, but could be to any point in a time continuum -for example you could be an astronaut in your current life and in the next one a member of a court in medieval times (that concept could account for different timelines/levels/dimensions).

It is really impossible for me to say whether something I "remember" is past or future. However, when you know when you had your last life (chronologically) and you can even see a photo of the woman you had a crush on, that seems past to me, lol.

There is also cause and effect chains that exist there too. For example, I came here as a result of a particular incarnation. I still don't know if it is past or future one.

I am curious if that means I need more healing. Or maybe it is actually healthy not to give your sovereignty to anyone or anything, even the HS?
Excellent question, OOT. That's one of the reasons I no longer "request" or "pray" for anything. By requesting, praying, or asking for something, this suggests to me that we have given our power and sovereignty away to whatever being we may be directing our request.

If I'm going to step into my own sovereignty, I think it's important to use my own "free will" to consciously make a choice--then express that choice as an intention. I think this shows "Universe" that I'm becoming spiritually mature enough to take responsibility for my own choices.

It's a bit like that moment when we stop asking our parents for permission or approval to do things--and we decide that we're old enough to make our own choices. Of course, when that moment arrives, we also have to be ready to accept whatever consequences come along with those decisions. But I'm perfectly OK with that!

:)

Perhaps subdivision -creation of who knows how many levels and parts out of itself- was not only a way to avoid loneliness/isolation/gain better understanding/advancement/etc. but to avoid a collapse/utter chaos and yes, why not say it, going crazy perhaps.
Considering the loneliness and sadness of being the only one, is it any wonder that "The One" loves us (and "All That Is") so much?

I've given a lot of thought to how it must feel to be the only one in all of existence. After taking that into consideration, the experiences of pain and suffering actually don't seem as bad anymore...especially when one views them with the idea that they are only temporary, transitory experiences (in the overall cosmic scheme of things). As a human being who has to bear the brunt of these experiences, I still don't LIKE them of course, but seeing them from this much, much higher perspective allows me to have a greater understanding of them--and their value to "The One".

It also allows me to have a greater understanding how our "Higher" Self must love us even more for our sacrifice. After all, it is we who suffer--and it is our "Higher" Self who understands what this suffering and hardship truly means in the overall scheme of things.

Excellent concept there in my opinion. If we suffer, therefore there is the good possibility that the HS suffers as well -resonance. And while the HS has the true meaning of the suffering and hardship as you mentioned, we, in this 3d world, are left with many conflicting emotions (anger, frustration, sadness, etc., etc., etc.) and often times with the question, why? And that I believe is the source of for so many conflicts at the personal level for the human race since a clear answer can't be found in religion, philosophy, etc. with our current level of development. It is my hope that we can change that in the near future so we can move to another level of experiences since it has been going on for way too long to the point of being too repetitive/redundant.
