Anecdote: This is my 5th year/winter without a flu vaccine and I haven't gotten the flu since I stopped getting the vaccine. I know 2 other reliable people that haven't gotten the flu vaccine for 30 years and they don't get the flu either. I might get the start of the flu for 1-2 days but it goes away on its own. No drugs necessary, although sometimes I have to sleep a bit extra.
