I finally got a chance to listen to Andreas, Sinera. Your right a great rock voice, much strength behind it. TY for posting I enjoyed it. :)

Seen this a few months ago too. I've read though that Oldfield was never too happy with the live renditions of his TB album stuff for whatever reason.

I heard the same thing too. It's a reletively complex peice. Besides in the studio you have all the time in the world for perfection.

In memory of Mr Cornell, one of the greatest voices in rock, who passed on dramatically, seemingly out of his own will (?), but way too early. One of my Grunge era heroes. Makes me sad.

Well I don't mind stealing bread
From the mouths of decadence
But I can't feed on the powerless
When my cup's already overfilled

Am in love with this song by Yaima at the moment so I wanted to share it with you all <3

Our Game

A story told of long ago
Before they knew
They were powerful.
Materials ruled the world
They sang sad songs
Of how they suffered.
With narrow eyes
And twice sold lies,
A victims view
From inside a cube
My Love

Then all at once
But one by one
They heard the call
A simple song saying
"When would you like
To leave it all behind?
You can quit all your sorrow
Lose track of time
And jump in- surrender
Wash it all away
Jump in and remember
This is our game
My Love"

And now the tables have turned
And the scales have evened
And the Illusions
Are breaking at the seams
And the patterns
And problems
And prisons of the past
Will be pushed under the table
Never meant to Last
And we grow in numbers
Day by day
A familiar smile
Upon your face
My Love.

Then all at once
But one by one
They Heard the call
A simple song,
Saying, “When would you like
to leave it all behind?
You can quit all your sorrow
Lose track of time
And jump In- surrender
Jump in- surrender
Wash it all away
Jump in and remember
This is our game
My Love”

How about a sticky thread to post your favorite music? It could be whatever your listening to from rock, blues, jazz. classical whatever. Also personal compositions and performances(nudge, nudge, wink, wink Ged) whatever. One could listen to songs in one tab whilst perusing the latest news on the rest of the forum.
How does on do that?

Now you got me again with this. As a former physical drummer, while today it's just by programming my DAW on my computer. :-D

Yeah, good ol' Buddy Rich. Many of today's top drummers cite him as their idol and inspiration (Neal Peart, Jujo Mayer, Mike Portnoy, and so many more).

Didn't know he was on a show with Jerry Lewis. Now I know where a bit later the Muppets got their show inspiration from when they let Buddy compete agains the Animal:

And since we had Journey now ... here's Journey's drummer with Jojo, so the circle closes. ;)

These are the kinds of battle I like<3
The ones where we battle to bring out the best in ourselves and everybody wins... participants, observers and folks (like me here, getting a real education in drumming) in a later time period who watch the recordings.
There is something simply beautiful about drumming. You can do it anytime, anywhere, with just about anything, including your own body parts. Or you can use specialized tools like these guys, and really have a go at what you can create!
