I'd be wary regarding the death/cases figures with all the data, be it swine or common influenza. The swine flu data was also blown out of proportion since most did not die of swine flu but of other causes (sounds familiar with today...).

I just heard Del Bigtree from Highwire (situated in Texas) for the first time. Interesting, passionate speaker. He tested his own son live wearing various types of masks, to see what the CO2 ppm was (parts per million). I can't access that video to post here, but here is the list of carbon dioxide levels and potential health problems indicated by rising levels:

250-250 ppm : background (normal) outdoor air level

350-1000 ppm: typical level found in occupied spaces with good air exchange

1000-2000 ppm: Level associated with complaints of drowsiness and poor air

2000 - 5000 ppm: Level associated with headaches, sleepiness and stagnant, stale, stuffy air, poor concentration, loss of attention, increased heart rate and slight nausea may also be present

All countries are upping their testing requirements and facilities although there is no correlation between better testing and better control of the virus.
for example traveling to and from countries that have a high risk (more than 20-50 cases per 100 000; talk about high risk) you need to have a covid test.

The test they are doing now are PCR based tests. this is a genetic test based on duplication of DNA/RNA strands with a specific primer.
What if they are collecting DNA of all the population under the pretence of covid testing. What they will do with it I don't know but they certainly now have an opportunity to do it.

Maybe getting too paranoid but I don't see any logical reason to test completely healthy people ... or even mildly sick people. When in hospital you need to know to get the right treatment but up to that the body will take care of itself.

I saw a video similar. A man with an OSHA approved co2 monitor was demonstrating essentially the same thing.
The past few people I've told just completely rolled their eyes, and asserted that they are safe. And even mentioned about how doctors use them all day every day.

I don't think it's paranoid to think about and envisage all possibilities. I can understand some people are arrogant and inflated with their own self-importance, and pooh-pooh other people's ideas, but since 2014 I've been in circumstances where certain things in the social realm like work and acquaintances have been stripped away (I still have abundance to live, so it's not a complaint). It's just that 10, 15 or 20 years ago, I couldn't have foreseen myself in these circumstances.

- how will the sports and hobbies of the kids go

Had an interesting conversation with a young man in his 20s. He was a 100% believer in what the CDC and WHO reported. I made a few observations about that.

What I recall the most is his face when I spoke of other cases in history. He seemed stunned that this had happened before. I explained that my grandparents lived through the Spanish Flu epidemic, and I, the polio epidemic. My point was that there have been other epidemics, and none were handled like this one.

We parted on good terms, with his saying he liked a good conversation because you always can learn something new.

Once again it comes down to the ability to think critically, as well as some since of history. Interestingly, he did say his public school education was a joke.

Here is where it gets really interesting. I was "told" to go to that place on Monday. I did not know why, but the situation arose where I had that conversation. I've been concerned about his and many other young people's lack of critical thinking skills. Then I had a dream this morning, which is posted here and here.
